Logistics

We currently serve over 1700 students from Erie and Lorain Counties. Our district covers over 90 square miles!

 Student  Accomplishments

While small in population, our students continue to accomplished great things!  Combined with what our Seniors have earned through College Credit Plus courses at LCCC, Firelands High School graduating seniors consistently earn between 1,500 and 2,000 college credits, which equates to an estimated savings of over $230,000 at LCCC, and a four-year college savings of over $665,000. Overall, combining Scholarships and CCP credits, students generally earn over $1.25 million dollars in money toward a 4-year degree, which is a fantastic achievement.

At our middle school, The STEM robotics program continues to grow and students have won their first Robotic Competition Award, The Energy Award, at the Pioneer Classic Competition. Firelands Middle School is a PLTW Distinguished School! Our youngest students at Firelands Elementary will have the opportunity to participate in the Arts, Lego Club, Camp Invention and they will continue to explore coding in technology classes.

Athletics

We are members of the highly competitive Lorain County League, LC8. Our strong student athletes compete in 14 varsity sports throughout the school year.

 FFA

Our district is fortunate to have a FFA program know across the state. The Firelands FFA Program was named the National Champions-Model of Innovation and had the most state winning proficiencies. Students in grades 6-8 will also receive agricultural education during their 7-week rotations.

Visual and Performing Arts

Our visual and performing arts programs are known to be some of the best in Ohio. The Mighty Falcon Marching Band and multiple choirs allow our musically talented students to shine.
