Welcome to Firelands High School and our new webpage. As we work on the webpage we will be adding more information and links to sites that will be useful to our students and parents. You are also able to access the electronic grade book called ProgressBook. . Teachers post grades, lessons, and homework information. Students received their passwords to access ProgressBook so they may monitor their grades and look up assignments, due dates and classroom information. The students can log on from their home computer so if they miss a day or more on school they can go to ProgressBook and see the assignments/homework that is due. On the webpage are notices of information, a link to the guidance department webpage, the high school Google calendar, athletics and many more information sites.
The month of December is a busy time at the high school. Athletics, FFA and many student organizations are collecting food, winter clothes, toys and non-perishable food items to assist families in the Firelands area. Many of our student's complete service work to give back to our community and the student body is very supportive during the holiday season. The parents and community should be very proud of the compassion and caring our students have for hte community.
We are proud to announce we have been recognized by the Ohio Department of Education with an "Excellent" rating for the sixth year in a row. Seventy-nine percent of the current juniors passed all five parts of the Ohio Graduation Test last spring.
Student fees are due and notices were mailed at the beginning of October along with progress reports. If fees are not paid by November 24 access to ProgressBook will turned off and report cards will be held until fees are paid. If you have questions concerning the details of your student's fees, contact Mrs. Dziat in the main office at 440-965-4255 ext.10.
