The career readiness fair is an opportunity for our current
students, graduates, and underemployed community members to meet with local
businesses, adult education programs, military recruiters, and career
counselors to learn about viable pipelines to quality employment. We have a lot of high paying jobs in our area,
yet many who are not trained to fill those positions. Providing awareness of the employment
potential and the training programs needed to fulfill these positions will
close the skill gaps for employers. It
will also offer better wages for individuals in our community, allowing for a
higher standard of living.
Many of the employers who are at the fair are willing to train individuals who possess the necessary employability skills. Currently, our community has numerous opportunities for hardworking individuals from the organization listed below. Additional companies can participate by contacting Dr. Zimmer at [email protected]
