Hello and welcome to our Student Registration page!

Please see the categories below to aid in student registration, apply for open enrollment, or update general forms.

**If applying for new open enrollment, please DO NOT start a Final Forms account until after your student has been approved.**

Back to School Forms-Current Students

All back to school forms will be completed in Final Forms.

Final Forms can be completed from any mobile device, including your phone. This program also allows you to create your own username and password. For assistance, you can refer to this help document:  Firelands Parent Playbook.

If you are editing a current student's email in Final Forms, please note that a school email address cannot be used. You must use a personal email account such as @yahoo.com or @gmail.com.

Returning open enrollment forms must be filled out no later than February 28th. Scroll down to the end of this page to access the returning open enrollment form.

Kindergarten Enrollment

Kindergarten Enrollment: Parents living in the Firelands school district with children who will be five years old by August 1, 2024 are eligible to register their child for 2024-2025 kindergarten starting on March 1, 2024. Online registration can even be completed on your phone, without downloading an app.

Optional: If you need assistance with registration, you are welcome to schedule an appointment at the board office by emailing [email protected].

Open enrollment for parents living out of the district opens on February 1, 2024 for the 2024-2025 school year. For new open enrollment applications, registration is not permitted until your application has been accepted. (Please see the open enrollment section below).

Kindergarten screening is a separate event that will take place in May 2024, but your time slot must be set up during the registration process in March.

Documents required for registration include your child's birth certificate, current proofs of residency, parent/guardian photo ID, shot records, and custody papers (if they apply). 

Residency documents must have name, current address and current date visible or will not be accepted. You will need the following documents, one from each list below:

Choose 1:  current signed rental agreement, current home mortgage statement, purchase agreement, or construction contract
Choose 1:  current tax bill, current utility invoice (gas, water or electric), homeowner/renter insurance statement, or current paystub with new address

If you are living in a Firelands Local School District home that you do not own or rent, a residency affidavit must be completed as part of proving residency. That form is located here. 

Kindergarten registration involves completing all of the online forms in the Final Forms portal and providing all requested documents. The Final Forms link is here. (Open enrollment applications must be submitted and approved prior to registration).

New Student Online Registration (1-12)

**The application for open enrollment is in the next section. Final Forms is for registration after applications have been accepted.**

Online registration (through Final Forms) is open for students who are moving into the Firelands School District during the school year. Please make sure you are selecting the correct year.

Registration involves completing all of the online forms in the Final Forms portal and providing the listed documents below. The Final Forms link is here.

The following documents can be uploaded directly into your online account or emailed to [email protected]:

  1. Child's birth certificate
  2. Immunization records (we accept printouts from MyChart or similar accounts)
  3. Parent or guardian photo ID
  4. Two proofs of residency, one from each list. Documents must show name, current address, and current date or they will not be accepted.
  • Choose 1: current signed rental agreement, current home mortgage statement, purchase agreement or construction contract
  • Choose 1: current tax bill, current utility invoice (gas, electric or water), home or rental insurance statement, or current paystub with new address

5. Special education or gifted documents, if applicable (IEP, ETR, 504, WEP, etc.)
6. Court papers including custody papers if applicable

Welcome to Firelands!

Open Enrollment

Open enrollment for 2024-2025 is online only and opened on February 1, 2024 at 7:30 a.m. 

NEW Open Enrollment: Applications will be considered on a space available basis. Here are the openings for 2024-2025:

  • Space available: 4th, 7th, and 9th grades
  • No space available: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades
  • Possible space: 5th and 8th (waitlist only)
  • Kindergarten waitlist is closed effective 2/21/24.

If there is room in a grade level, applicants will be considered in the order that applications were submitted online and priority will be given to families who already have children currently enrolled in the district. Decisions for grades 1-12 will be sent within a few weeks of application, but decisions for Kindergarten will be delayed until August. Families with kindergarteners should plan to enroll in their home district in a timely manner while awaiting a decision from Firelands. RETURNING Open Enrollment: If your child was open-enrolled this year, you must confirm that they are continuing in 2024-2025 by filling out the quick online form indicated below. You will receive confirmation of your child's continued open enrollment status by e-mail from the Superintendent's Office. The deadline for this form is February 28, 2024. Failure to return the form would indicate no plans to return for 2024-2025. The application is available at this link: https://forms.gle/NMJez9qjPGGSY4qFA.

Open Enrollment Due to Moving Out of District  (Link: https://forms.gle/vSJFznmiJKoUyxWp6)
If an already enrolled Firelands District family moves out of the district but wishes to keep their students in Firelands Schools, the “Moving Out of District” open enrollment form must be used. Your children will become open enrolled and you will have to confirm their status annually as “returning” open enrollment students. When you move out of district, you must provide proof of your new residence.
