First Day of School

On the first day of school, everyone is nervous. Who will I see? Where's my locker? What will my teacher's be like? Will I be able to find the restroom, the cafeteria, homeroom, or the study hall? What if I don't make it to class in 4 minutes? Well, here's one answer. YOU WILL BE FINE! Everyone, yes, everyone has first day jitters. Just do your best. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
For the first day of school, I suggest that you bring your schedule, a pencil, pen, folder, notebook/paper and your agenda (you'll get this in FAST in the morning). As you go to your classes on Tuesday, each teacher will let you know what is needed for their class. It is VERY important that you write down the date the teacher/s would like you to have the materials needed for their class.
For lunch: Be sure to look at your schedule. At the high school, we have 3 lunch periods. Lunch 4,6, and 8. If you have any questions, ask a teacher or the office. Also, along with the regular lunch line, there is the "Snack Shack." At the Snack Shack you can buy different foods a la carte (yogurt, salads, soft pretzels, pizza, nachos, bottled water, etc).
Also, you'll be receiving a red folder in homeroom (FAST) full of information and forms that need to be filled out. Get that information back to your homeroom teacher Wednesday, September 2nd!
If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me ([email protected]). I will be happy to answer any questions.
See you soon!
P.S. - Please don't forget your lunch money! :)

Class Fundraising... Why?

We fundraise to raise money that will be used for YOUR prom. Prom is a few years away, but by raising the money early, it can cut down on the cost of tickets, facility, etc.
We also fundraise to have money in the account if the class is asked to donate to a cause during the holidays or anything that would come up through the school year.
The money raised will follow you through
your senior year of high school.

Teacher Tutoring - Wednesdays

What is Teacher Tutoring?
Teacher tutoring is when a student attends a tutoring session sponsored by a teacher. The teacher tutoring takes place in lieu of Professional Connections one Wednesday morning a month. Teacher tutoring time allows the student to receive extra help from their teacher in a small group setting. The students are to be at school at 7:30am with no late arrival. The teacher tutoring time is from 7:30a-8:20am. This teacher tutoring time is MANDATORY for all of the students the teacher(s) has asked to attend. The student is given a "Mandatory Teacher Tutoring" form with all of the information and is required to have a parent signature at the bottom and returned back to the teacher. If the student does not come to teacher tutoring, disciplinary consequences will occur.
Dates of Teacher Tutoring:
The rules are as follows:
1. Students must arrive at school by 7:25am and in required room by 7:30am
2. Students are required to attend the tutoring session. This is a time to receive extra help from your teachers in a smallgroup setting.
3. Students are to come prepared for each tutoring session with the proper materials.
4. Failure to appear will have disciplinary consequences.
