The Firelands FFA has partnered with The Firelands Middle School Student Council to hold a District Wide Food Drive February 6 - February 10th.
The food will help less fortunate families in and around our community and will be donated to the South Amherst United Methodist Church food pantry. The SAUM pantry is the only subsidized food pantry that serves our community. This food pantry is currently serving over 100 families which is slightly over 350 people.
Any out-of-date food that is donated (up to one year expired) will go to the Second Harvest Food Bank and will be part of the Harvest for Hunger Program that serves people in larger struggling urban areas.
