The 24 Game in "24

The 24 Game is a mental math fluency game that builds strong mental math power. The fourth, fifth, and sixth grade advanced math classes have been practicing this game recently in order to prepare for their upcoming tournament.  Preliminary rounds were held within each of the participating local districts. These initial rounds determined who would move on to the semi-finals and finals competition at the Educational Service Center on February 7th.  This math competition included several local districts’ top mental math competitors.
Students who participated in the semi-finals and finals rounds included Charlee Stillman, Gavin Dziubek, Peyton Finnegan, Claire Royster, Faith Born, Liam Wagner, Serenity Hoch, Elle Pycraft, Micah Hoban, Emerson Beal, and Harper Hyster. Medals were earned by Charlee, Micah, and Claire.

FES students shared this field trip with seventeen FMS and FHS students who previously competed in this tournament, and who volunteered to serve as proctors.  All students enjoyed lunch and camaraderie after the competition.  Congratulations to all students who worked hard for this achievement!

Thank you to Mrs. Dempsey for her guidance and support!
