FES has continued our tradition of students running or walking laps during recess that equate to a marathon. All students are encouraged to complete at least one lap per day. At the completion of the marathon, they are awarded a t-shirt to recognize their accomplishments. Multiple students will continue to log laps after reaching the marathon status.

We currently have 277 students in the building that have earned a 10K, 244 have earned a ½ marathon and 97 have completed their first marathon. Our second graders have demonstrated their love for running and walking! 37 have earned their first marathon and 11 have earned their 2nd. Six second graders have also earned 3rd and 4th marathons. We are so proud of their accomplishments and commitment.
