The Firelands Falcons Middle School Bowling team had their first match of the season this past Saturday vs. Keystone. All 4 of the Falcons teams had a successful day against the Wildcats. The Falcons bowled 1405 pins for their team score. Kaden LaScola led the (A) team to a victory bowling a 276 series, Ben Smith was the team’s next highest contributor bowling a 233 series and Hunter Young wasn't far behind with a 229 series. The Falcons (B1) Team was also successful against the Wildcats, the Falcons bowlers bowled a team score of 1049. Cy Vanderpool led the (B1) team bowling a 211 series, Ben Avolt was the team’s next highest contributor bowling a 183 series and Kian Winterich had a 179. The Falcons (B2) Team went unopposed against the Wildcats, but top contributors were Michael Haynes (151), Connor Watchhorn (129) and Gregory Frombaugh (110). For the first time the Fireland Middle School Bowling team has a full all girl team this season. That team did very well and was successful against the Wildcats, the Lady Falcons bowled 1198 against the Wildcats 961. The Falcons were led by Baylee Reed. She bowled 2 incredible games, game one she bowled a 182 and game 2 a 187. Baylee had the NSBC' s Middle School Division's high Scratch series for the weekend she had a 369 series. Other top team contributors were Ella Ramsey with a 177 series and Lyra Miller with a 171 series. Great work Falcons Bowlers! This Saturday they will have their Match #2 vs. Amherst at Strikeout Lanes.


Saturday the Firelands Middle School Cross Country Teams raced at Black River High School. Diem Vanderpool was the girl’s top placer followed by Ava Huston, Adelynn Schlechter, Violet Howells, CeCe Howells, Emelia Branco, and Hailey Brown.
The boy’s top placer was Aaron Powers, followed by George Littleton, Lucas Frederick, and Collin Vaughn.
