Saturday the Firelands Middle School Cross Country Teams raced at New London. Top placer for the girls was Diem Vanderpool, followed by Ava Huston, Adelynn Schlechter, Violet Howells, Amelia Branco, CeCe Howells, and Hailey Brown. The boys were led by. Aaron Powers, followed by Seth Reichle, Collin Vaughn, George Littleton, Lucas Frederick, Nathan Krebs, and Landon Smith. This Saturday is the Lorain County 8 Cross Country Championship at Black River High School. Best of Luck to Everyone!
The Firelands (A) Team came out ahead of Open Door 1844 to 884 in this weekend match. Hunter Young led the team bowling a 196 & 193 for a 389 series. The other scores were, Kaden LaScola 150 &173 for a 323 series, Alex Dodson 148 & 135 for a 283 series, Ben Smith 137 & 144 for a 381 series, and Jesse West 132 & 145 for a 277 series. Great work the 1844 Total is a new Team high and a personal best for any Firelands Middle School Team the previous best was 1718 bowled in the 2021 season.
The Firelands girls had another successful weekend the team was led by Baylee Reed with a 291 series, followed closely by Scarlett Vaughn Scarlett had a 267 series but bowled a new personal best 153 game. Other contributors were Ella Ramsey 232 series, Lyra Miller 192 series, and Alex Hush 137 series.
The Firelands (B1) Team also did a great job Liam Pooley led the team with a 224 series and had a personal best 133 game, Hunter Holloway also had a season high of 124 game and 199 series.
For the Firelands (B2) team Cooper Locklear led with a personal best 194 series and high game 111, Liam Woodin had a 146 series and Connor Watchhorn had a 127 series.
