Keeping our Children Safe
Parents and caregivers are invited to attend two events that are aimed at keeping our students safe. These events will be held in May. Due to the sensitive nature of the topics, youth will not be admitted. 
Yearbook Staff
Congratulations to the following students for being selected as the 2014-2015 Yearbook Staff:  
Spring Break 2015
Spring Break begins on Monday, March 30th. School will resume on Tuesday, April 7th. 
College Credit Plus Information

Testing Acknowledgment

Letters of acknowledgment regarding Opting Out of Standardized Testing are in progress for those who recently sent in their request. Parent/Guardian letters will be mailed home today. Thank you for your patience.

Mock Trial
Students as Sams recently participated in a Mock Trial at the Elyria Courthouse and Justice Center.  This is an annual event where students act as lawyers, witnesses, juries and bailiffs in a real courtroom. 
Parent Access for PowerSchool

PowerSchool Parent Access is available to parents of 3rd grade students and older. This program enables parents to view their children’s current grades and attendance from the Firelands Local Schools website. Please use the same usernames and passwords that were assigned previously for your student’s accounts.

Changes in Procedures to Obtain a Physical
On May 1st, 2014 the OHSAA has mandated a change in the procedures to obtain a physical in the state of Ohio. Before any athlete is allowed to participate they must complete an online pre-participation medical history profile with Privit. Please see our Blog page for additional information.
