The Yearbooks have arrived! Mrs. Gundersen has a few extra available to purchase for $35.00. They are first come, first serve!  
Last Choir & Band Concert
Our Choir and Band students held their last concerts of the school year the week of May 24, 2013.  They did an excellent job and we are proud of our Falcons! 
8th Grade Service Project
Our 8th grade students participated in a day of service today. Part of their day included a trip to the Village of South Amherst Cemetery.  
Philadelphia 2013!
Our 8th grade students, staff and chaperones are having a wonderful time in Philadelphia! 
Engineering Career Day
Project Lead The Way (PLTW) students had the opportunity to attend an Engineering Career Day on April 20th. 
OZ!
The production, OZ, by the fine arts department at SAMS is now complete. Please take a minute to look at some of the great attached photos! 
Music Department
The Institute for Educational Research has announced that the Firelands Local School district is one of 307 school districts across the country to receive the distinction as one of the Best Communities for Music Education. 
8th Grade Girls Basketball
Congratulations to the 8th grade girls for placing 3rd overall in the PAC! Great job, girls! Please continue to see a great picture from last night. 
Spelling Bee
Top Spellers from the 5th & 6th grade will be participating in the 2013 Annual Spelling Bee on Wednesday March 20th. Please see attached for more information.

Please take 2 minutes to listen to the "2 Minute Tip of the Week" from Campus Impact. We work hard to promote a healthy environment for our students! 
6th Grade Service Project
Our sixth grade students and staff completed a service project for Firelands Families.  This project highlighted the difficult task of how to best feed families on a limited income. Please see the attached news article that explains this wonderful learning experience.

Flag Raising Ceremony
Do to storm damage the flag at SAMS was retired. Our thanks to Boy Scout Troop 450 for conducting a Flag Raising Ceremony.

Campus Impact @ SAMS

Campus Impact, a nationally recognized bullying and school violence prevention program has been working with students and staff since 1999.  Mrs. Novak, our school counselor, has incorporated these lessons into her groundbreaking class, Teen Talk. We appreciate Campus Impact and the positive lessons it helps to provide our community.
