Ohio law, HB 96, requires every school district to establish a policy prohibiting student cell phone use during the instructional day. The term “instructional day” includes not only formal classroom instruction, but also any time students are expected to be in attendance, such as transitions between classes, recess, lunch periods, and field trips.
