The 5th grade bridging ceremony will be held on June 6th at FES. Doors open at 8:45 a.m. Families are encouraged to attend and a cake reception will follow.

This is a mission for current kindergarten, first, second, third, and fourth graders to collectively read 1,000,000 minutes this summer! An ice cream social and prizes will be awared to those who complete the mission!

On Wednesday, March 22nd the top spellers from the fifth and sixth grades came together to compete in the annual 5th and 6th grade spelling bee held at Firelands Elementary School.

The summer art camp for FES students completing grades K-5 returns June 12-16. The camp was started by senior Grace Pohorence last summer as her Girl Scout Gold Award project.  
International learning collage FES Learning Project: Honduras
Our second grade students in Miss Andorka and Mrs. Jaskwiecz’s class participated in SKYPE communication with students in Honduras as a culminating activity to a unit in Social Studies Class.

Congratulations to Cameron Mulica (4th grade) and Ava Zingales (5th grade). Both students are winners in the annual Firelands Elementary Yearbook Cover Contest. Cameron's artwork will be featured on the front cover and Ava's wil be shown on the back cover. Well done, FES artists!

In the event of a snow day on a Tuesday, the lunch menu will feature vendor pizza on Wednesday. If a snow day occurs on Tuesday and Wednesday, vendor pizza will be offered on Thursday. If a two hour delay occurs, breakfast will not be served on those days.

Beginning Tuesday, August 30, the following procedures will be in place for students who get picked up at the end of the day instead of riding a bus. These procedures must be followed whether your child is picked up every day or only occasionally.
